Article 1Purpose
These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the contractual relationship between Cocooning Spa and its customers for the booking and use of the private spa area (pool, hot tub, sauna, hammam) and the adjoining cottage, as well as for the purchase of gift cards.
Cocooning Spa — sole proprietorship — 1860 rue du Bandyck, 62730 Marck-en-Calaisis, France. SIREN 951 067 602 · EU VAT number FR04951067602.
Any booking or purchase implies acceptance of these Terms and of the establishment’s Rules & Guidelines.
Article 2Booking
Bookings are made online at spacocooning-marck.fr.
A booking becomes firm and final upon payment, by secure card payment, of the 50% deposit of the total amount or of the full amount, and upon Cocooning Spa sending the confirmation email.
The number of participants stated is the basis for invoicing: no reduction is possible less than 7 days before the visit, and in the event of a partial cancellation the full amount remains payable. An additional participant may be added subject to availability, to be confirmed no later than 24 hours before. Every person present must be declared; an undeclared person will be charged at the current rate.
Article 3Prices and payment
The applicable prices are those displayed on the website at the time of booking. They are stated in euros, all taxes included (VAT included); the tourist tax for overnight stays is included. An invoice is available on request.
Online payment: bank card (Visa, Mastercard, CB) via the secure Stripe platform, for the deposit or the full amount.
Balance: payable on site on the day of the visit, before the start of the session, in cash or with paper ANCV holiday vouchers (ANCV Connect not accepted). Holiday vouchers are accepted up to 50% of the amount of the service.
No card payment terminal is available on site.
Extras: these can be added up to 48 hours before the visit. After that, we do our best to meet the request, subject to availability and without guarantee. The package and extras booked cannot be removed or downgraded.
Peak period: Friday to Sunday, public holidays, French school holidays and weekday evening sessions; for overnight stays, also the eve of a public holiday.
Article 4Change of booking date
A booking may be moved once only, on request at least 7 days before the scheduled date and subject to availability. Amounts already paid (deposit or full payment) are carried over to the new date.
No change is possible less than 7 days before the visit.
Article 5Cancellation
Any cancellation, whatever the notice given or the reason, does not entitle the customer to a refund of the amounts paid (deposit or full payment), including for last-minute bookings.
In accordance with Article L221-28, 12° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure and accommodation services scheduled for a specific date.
If Cocooning Spa has to cancel a booking (exceptional closure, major breakdown, force majeure), the amounts paid are refunded in full or, at the customer’s choice, carried over to a new date.
Article 6Gift cards
Gift cards are valid for 6 months from their date of purchase. This period is firm and cannot be extended: after this date, the card expires, with no extension, refund or exchange.
Each card can be used for the package and period for which it was issued. A “weekday” card cannot be used at weekends, during French school holidays (weekend rate) or on special days (Valentine’s Day, Christmas, New Year).
Bookings are made online with the card number, subject to availability; we recommend booking early.
Gift cards are neither refundable nor exchangeable for cash or another service, subject to the legal provisions applicable to distance purchases.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to pass these conditions on to the recipient.
Article 7Your session
Entry to the property is no earlier than 5 to 10 minutes before the booked time.
The session starts and ends at the booked times: late arrival is not made up and does not give rise to any reduction. Any overrun beyond the departure time is charged.
Overnight stays: arrival at the booked time, access to the spa area according to the chosen package, check-out from the cottage at 11 am after the inspection.
An inspection is carried out before each departure.
Article 8Access conditions
The establishment is for adults only, unless agreed with us in advance. Pets are not allowed.
Swimwear is compulsory. Before using any facility, a shower with clear water and no soap is required; make-up must be removed to put your head under water.
The spa area and the cottage are entirely non-smoking. Outside alcohol is not permitted.
Customers undertake to respect the establishment’s Rules & Guidelines, available on the website.
Article 9Liability
The facilities are used under the customers’ own responsibility, in accordance with the instructions and contraindications. Cocooning Spa cannot be held liable in the event of an accident or injury resulting from misuse of the facilities or failure to respect the Rules & Guidelines.
People with heart problems or high blood pressure, as well as pregnant women, must consult their doctor before using the sauna, the hammam or the hot tub.
Cocooning Spa is not responsible for the theft or loss of personal belongings on the premises.
Article 10Damage and deposit
A €250 deposit is required for overnight stays and for groups of 4 or more, as well as, during certain periods, for all bookings. It is a card pre-authorisation recorded online (Stripe) before the visit, via the link sent by email: no amount is charged.
After the inspection, the deposit is released no later than the day after the visit, from 7 pm, and the customer is informed by email. It may be collected in whole or in part in the event of damage, exceptional cleaning, failure to respect the rules or if anyone has smoked on the premises.
Any damage whose cost exceeds the amount of the deposit remains payable by the person responsible for the booking.
